Anni and Josef Albers is a beautifully illustrated publication celebrating the visually arresting and technically astonishing prints created by influential modernists Anni and Josef Albers in collaboration with master printer Kenneth Tyler. This book is the first to accompany an exhibition of the artists’ work in Australia.

Featuring a series of original texts, the publication delves into the profound influence of the Bauhaus on the Albers' long and significant careers, highlighting how their connection to this experimental school helped bring their work and ideas to Australia. Collaborations with notable creatives, including artist Ludwig Hirschfeld-Mack, architect Harry Seidler, and Kenneth Tyler himself, are also explored.

Included are previously unpublished materials from the Kenneth E Tyler archive, such as images, studies, and phone transcripts that illuminate the close working relationship between the three collaborators. Exquisitely illustrated with works from the national collection, this book captures the evolution of the Albers' innovative prints, showcasing their varied sources of inspiration.
