“In order to explore the shared socio-political space between images, place and people, Radford works with others as a way of examining what is both spoken and beyond speech. ”

For the past two decades, Lisa Radford has been a notable voice in Melbourne’s art scene, both writing alongside and about contemporary art and artists. This anthology was released in conjunction with Radford's solo exhibition Dear Masato, all at once at West Space in 2016, part of the gallery’s annual commission series.
In this collection, Radford’s critical and ficto-critical writings converge to illuminate a rich tapestry of local histories. Her work delves into politics, friendship, popular culture, and a spectrum of other personal and collective experiences. Published by Surpllus in Melbourne, this volume offers a profound exploration of the intersections between art and the myriad subjectivities that shape our understanding of it.
